Swiss Funds in Ciechanów

Ciechanów is set to benefit from non-reimbursable financial assistance from the Swiss government. In 2026, the city will launch investments and projects funded by the so-called Swiss Funds. This amounts to over CHF 11 million, which is approximately PLN 51 million.

The Swiss Funds will provide 100% financing for the following new initiatives:

• Thermal Modernization:

• 8 multi-family residential buildings in Ciechanów and 1 in the Municipality of Opinogóra Górna.

• The Municipal Social Welfare Centre (MOPS) building in Ciechanów.

• A municipal building in the Municipality of Opinogóra Górna.

• Renovation of municipal premises to create 4 crisis intervention apartments.

• Grants for Energy-Excluded Residents:

• For Renewable Energy Sources (RES) in single-family houses

and

• For the replacement of windows and doors in multi-family buildings.

• Grants for Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) for cultural, integration, and networking funding of activities.

• Programs Counteracting Economic Exclusion:

• Financial management training and budgeting workshops.

• “Handyman” services (the so-called Złota Rączka program).

• Internship program for clients of the Municipal Social Welfare Centre (MOPS).

• Psychological support and rehabilitation services for city residents.
