We invite residents to participate in meetings taking place within the "Bloki" neighborhood on October 1st. These sessions will provide an opportunity to discuss the needs of local residents and identify areas that require changes or improvements. The exploratory walks are organized by the City Hall as part of the Polish-Swiss Urban Development Program.

The exploratory walks will be held on October 1st at 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM. Their goal is to involve the residents of Ciechanów in the revitalization process of this historic part of the city.

During each meeting, participants will be able to share their observations and experiences, as well as highlight the needs they consider most crucial for the development of the neighborhood. Taking part in these walks will help in the preparation of new projects and investments that will benefit the residents.

Each walk will last between 1.5 and 2 hours and will follow a pre-planned route and structured agenda. Participants will work together to identify specific locations and spatial elements that require intervention, while also discussing their feelings, needs, and expectations regarding future development.

Support for residents through Swiss funds

Thermal modernization work is currently underway on eight multi-family residential buildings in the "Bloki" housing estate.

The buildings are located at the following addresses:

  • Hallera 13/15,
  • Moniuszki 5/7,
  • Moniuszki 9/11,
  • Okrzei 1,
  • Okrzei 13,
  • Okrzei 22,
  • Narutowicza 6/12,
  • Wyzwolenia 13.

These investments will significantly improve living conditions for the residents and will also enhance the aesthetics of the area.

The costs of the work will be 100% covered by the so-called "Swiss funds." The municipal authorities have secured a total of over PLN 50 million, which, in addition to funding building renovations, supports the implementation of a range of initiatives benefiting the residents of Ciechanów—such as the "Handyman" ("Złota rączka") program, offering free home repairs, as well as free psychological and psychiatric support. Furthermore, the Resident Support Center (Centrum Wsparcia Mieszkańca), established in the Bloki housing estate, provides access to free rentals of rehabilitation equipment.

The project, titled "Strengthening Social and Environmental Protection Systems in Ciechanów and Parts of its Functional Urban Area," is co-financed by the Swiss Funds, which support the reduction of economic and social disparities within the European Union.
