Subsidies for the purchase and installation of renewable energy sources

City Hall is launching a new support program for residents as part of the Polish-Swiss Urban Development Program. Residents of Ciechanów will be eligible for funding of up to 85% of the costs for the purchase and installation of systems such as photovoltaic panels, energy storage units, heat pumps, or small-scale residential wind turbines. The application period begins on October 19.

Funds secured by the Ciechanów local government to support residents are enabling the municipal authorities to launch another program.

Those interested in installing new energy sources on their property will be eligible for grants for renewable energy systems in single-family residential buildings. The grant can cover up to 85% of eligible costs, with a maximum amount of 25,000 PLN.

Funding is available for the purchase and installation of:

• a photovoltaic system – up to 6 kWp,
• an energy storage system – up to 10 kWh,
• a heat pump for space heating and domestic hot water preparation,
• a heat pump for domestic hot water preparation,
• a residential wind turbine.

Eligibility for funding is open to individuals who:

• own or hold another legal title to a property located within the territory of Ciechanów,
• have permanently resided or been registered as residents at the property covered by the application for at least 12 months,
• do not conduct any business or agricultural activity at the property, and the property is not used for such purposes,
• do not rent out the property to third parties,
• have not received funding for the same purpose within the last 5 years.
• in the case of co-ownership, it has the consent of all co-owners or co-users.

When and how to submit an application?

Applications will be accepted from October 19 to November 18, 2026.

The completed document must be submitted within the application period:

• in paper form – at the Citizen Service Office (Biuro Obsługi Interesanta) of the Ciechanów City Hall, ul. Wodna 1, service counter no. 5,
• electronically – via the e-Delivery (e-Doręczenia) system or by email to: . Electronic applications must bear the required electronic signature.

Applications submitted after the deadline or in a manner inconsistent with the rules set out in the Program will not be considered.

Important information

The order in which grants are awarded is determined by the number of points obtained according to the criteria specified in the Program. In the event of a tie in the number of points, the order of application submission will be the deciding factor. The total budget available for the first call for applications is PLN 1,325,000.

The grant will be paid out as a reimbursement of costs incurred, following the completion of the project and its successful settlement. You should not begin the investment before signing a grant agreement.

Projects covered by the 2026 call for applications can only be settled in 2027. Two further calls for applications, with the same scope and rules, will be announced in 2027 and 2028.
